13 July 2010- Chinese slate was first of all found in Shaanxi province in China that is an area rich in minerals and more than 200,000 square kilometres. But good quality of Chinese slate stone also come from the following regions in China:

What is a Chinese Slate?
Chinese slate is formed by the metamorphosis of rock shale and volcanic ashes on the sea floors. These are very finely grained and consists of microscopic clay minerals with quartz and calcite. Along with this Chinese slate may also have some minerals that are found in granite.

Also there are Chinese slates that tend to absorb moisture and are not acid resistant. So there is every grade of Chinese slate. Because of this new innovations to process the slate have been done and processing machines from Europe were brought. With this good quality of Chinese slate were formed.
